Restaurants, fast food establishments, ATM's and Gas Stations are not the only place to worry about skimming. This man owned a smoke shop and was skimming his customer’s cards as they paid for their items. Once he had the card info he would then re-encode used gift cards with his customers data and proceed to purchase items such as cigarettes from Costco to then resell in his store. When using your card anywhere, make sure to keep a close eye on it if you have to let it out of your hand.
