Compliance Deadline

The overall deadline for PCI 1.2 compliance was a couple of years ago and PCI 2.0 is at the end of this year. However, the deadline for unattended point-of-sale devices was July 2010, a little over a year ago. This is the leading reason you have seen a whole slew of new gas station pumps at your local fueling stations, and just like regular compliance, it is going to take time for these to all be updated. Our tip of the day is that if it looks a little old, you may want to be careful about using the card reader because the system may be compromised, kind of like the following company. If you are one of the many businesses still looking to become compliant, contact Alpine today. (877)217-0707
